Claude Code Agents and Automation is a practical course on running Claude Code as an agent that works without you watching. It starts in the terminal, where Claude Code can be driven by scripts and services instead of someone clicking, and builds up to agents that run on GitHub and in the cloud.
The course covers working with Claude Code in the terminal, its settings files and how they take precedence, and the Git and GitHub basics the later topics depend on. It then shows how to hand side tasks to subagents, run several agents in parallel in separate worktrees, and when an agent team is worth its extra cost. Hooks add rules that run every time, whatever Claude decides. The final part takes Claude Code out of the conversation: headless runs from scripts, the Claude Code GitHub Action that turns issues into pull requests, and routines that run on a schedule in Anthropic’s cloud.
Every topic is demonstrated live on one small project that grows step by step, so each technique builds on the one before it.
