Starting with Claude is a practical, demonstration-based course that introduces Claude, the AI assistant built by Anthropic, and shows how to use it effectively for everyday work. The course takes learners from their first conversation to confident, deliberate use of Claude, covering what it is, where it runs, and what each plan offers.
Participants will explore the Claude workspace, where a single conversation can answer questions, act on files and websites, and create documents, presentations, designs, and files. They will learn to choose the right model and effort level for each task, use web search and Research to get current information with citations, organize their work with conversations, projects, and connected folders, manage what Claude remembers through instructions and memory, and share their work while controlling who can see it.
Starting with Claude opens the Claude AI program and prepares learners for Agentic Application Development with Claude Code, where Claude moves from conversation into hands-on software development.

There are no formal prerequisites, but participants should be comfortable using a computer and a web browser. A paid Claude plan is recommended to follow every demonstration, since some features covered in the course, such as Research and Claude Docs, Slides, and Design, are not available on the Free plan.
